The Overwatch Nova is a premium stab-resistant security vest designed for professionals working in higher-risk environments where protection against knives, spikes and slashing threats is a priority. The Nova is designed for stab, spike, and slash protection and is not ballistic rated or designed to provide protection against firearms.

Combining flexible aramid soft armour with a breathable, adjustable load-bearing carrier, the Nova provides protective coverage without the rigidity of metal plates while also supporting the equipment, identification and visibility requirements of professional security work.

Stab, Slash & Spike Protection

Protection is at the core of the Nova. The vest uses two flexible aramid soft armour panels designed to provide protection against stabbing, spike and slashing threats while maintaining the mobility required for everyday security duties.

Aramid is a high-strength fibre widely used in protective equipment due to its strength and resistance to cutting and penetration. Unlike rigid metal plates, the Nova's soft armour remains flexible and conforms more naturally to the body, helping balance protection with comfort and freedom of movement.

• Australian Tested - Armour panels passed independent testing in Australia using NIJ 0115.00 Level 2 stab and spike testing methodology. Level 2 represents a higher level of stab and spike protection than Level 1 and is intended for higher-risk environments. Testing was conducted by a NATA-accredited laboratory, with documentation available upon request.
• Stab & Spike Protection - Designed to provide protection against edged weapons and pointed spike threats.
• Slash Protection - High-strength aramid armour provides protective coverage against slashing and cutting threats across key torso areas.
• Continuous Front Coverage - A full-width front armour panel extends across the centre zip area, helping reduce the vulnerable gap that can occur with separate front armour panels.
• Flexible Soft Armour - The armour bends and conforms with the wearer rather than relying on rigid metal plates, helping maintain freedom of movement during active duties.
  
  

Equipment & Camera Integration

The Nova is also designed as a practical load-bearing platform, allowing commonly used equipment to be positioned directly on the vest and kept within easy reach.

• MOLLE Platform - Integrated MOLLE-compatible webbing allows compatible pouches and equipment to be positioned around the vest.
• Body-Worn Camera Ready - Reinforced mounting areas provide multiple options for positioning a body-worn camera.
• Klick Fast Compatible - Includes a Klick Fast-compatible mounting point for compatible body-worn cameras and equipment.
• Flexible Equipment Setup - MOLLE-compatible pouches can be positioned to suit the equipment carried and the requirements of the wearer.

Visibility, Identification & Comfort

The Nova comes fitted with reflective strips as standard for increased visibility during patrols, events and low-light duties. The strips can be removed when a cleaner, lower-profile appearance is preferred, allowing the same vest to be adapted to different working environments.

• Removable Reflective Strips - Reflective strips are fitted to the vest as standard and can be removed or reattached as required.
• Security Identification - High-visibility SECURITY patches are included for the front and rear of the vest.
• Additional Identification - Hook-and-loop areas allow name, company logo or role identification patches to be added when required.
• Adjustable Fit - Adjustable shoulder and side sections accommodate different body types, uniforms and clothing layers.
• Secure Adjustment - Heavy-duty hook-and-loop adjustment and side retention fasteners help keep the vest stable during active use.
• Breathable Carrier - Reinforced mesh construction promotes airflow to help reduce heat build-up during extended shifts.

Fit & Sizing Guide

The standard Nova is designed to fit most adult male builds from approximately M–2XL. Adjustable shoulder and side sections allow the fit and position of the vest to be adjusted to suit the wearer and different clothing layers. The vest is designed to sit above the waist, providing clearance for comfortable movement when sitting or bending.

*2XL Sizing Note: The standard Nova can accommodate some 2XL builds but may be too snug for others. If you normally wear a 2XL, please check the waist measurement above before ordering or contact us if unsure.

Need a Different Size?

If you require a smaller (XXS–S) or larger (3XL–5XL) size, custom sizing may be available upon request. Custom production is subject to a minimum order quantity (MOQ). Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Custom/Branding

Custom Overwatch Nova vests are available for organisations requiring different layouts, identification or branding. We can customise patches, reflective identifiers, MOLLE layouts, body-worn camera mounting positions and other parts of the vest to suit your requirements.

Custom patches can also be produced with company logos, role designations, colours or specific wording. Custom sizing may be available for smaller (XXS–S) and larger (3XL–5XL) requirements.
